- Does it hurt my car? - Not at all. All of the mounting techniques we use for both the bullet cameras as well as the recording gear is all done on a removeable and temporary basis. In some circumstances we use high strength suction cups that attach to the bodywork and glass of the vehicle and can be installed and removed in a matter of minutes.
- How long does it take to install it in my car? The system is very easy to install in the vehicles and can be done in under 10 minutes. You will receive an installation schedule for your vehicle at the facility on the first day of the event.
- What requirements are there that my car must meet? - Your car must have a working 12V cigarette lighter to power all of the cameras and recording devices.
- How do I get my video? - Your video will be made available to you through the www.myhotlap.com website to download. Downloading of the video is the most cost effective and time sensitive way to receive your video. In some circumstances DVD copies may be made available for a cost of $35.00 plus shipping and handling and will take up to 2 weeks to complete.
- What format is my video in? - Your video will be downloadable in a .wmv format.
- How long does the video stay on the myhotlap.com site for download? - Your video will stay on the myhotlap.com site for a period of 10 days.
- Do you host video for more than 30 days? Yes we have 6 month and 12 month hosting solutions so you can share your video over the internet with anyone in the world with intenet access.
- Do I have control over where the camera is place in or on my car? - We try to find the safest and most desireable camera angles when installing cameras in your vehicle. We will hear all requests and evaluate the request on a per car basis, however we reserve the right for final placement in and on the vehicle.
- What happens if the camera gets damaged? - Typically the only reason for damage to a camera is due to loss of control of the vehicle, going off course and hitting something. In the unlikely event you have an accident and damage the camera you will be responsible for the replacement cost of the camera.
